This World is Small, We Will Meet Again

This World is Small, We Will Meet Again. This is my favourite sentence and I used to tell to my colleagues in Progeon all the time. Just imagine your school friend who has left school during 5th standard and you do not know his whereabouts and you meet him again after 15 years. During these 15 years you don't even realize that you have forgotten him. This is not a narration of a movie, it does happens in real life.

Reason: Technology is making disconnected (people who have lost contact) people to connect again. The technology that I am talking about is Internet and in my opinion its an amazing invention.Apart from being a treasure of knowledge, it also connects people. Orkut is one such thing, that has made people reconnect again.

It is through Orkut that I met my old school friend Ravindranath Kini (on sunday, 25 june 2006 Ravi, Myself, Sanjeev and Madhura had a get together). He had left school during 5th standard and both of us did'nt even know about each others whereabouts. Orkut is a wonderful concept developed by Orkut Buyokutton, he has made people meet again and also stay connected together. I did'nt even thought in my dream that I would meet Ravi. Hats off to Orkut.

Technology is progressing at a rapid rate and no body can stop technology from progressing. Today orkut is through internet, tomorrow it may be in your Mobile phones. If Orkut comes to your mobile phones, then your near and dear ones will be part and parcel of your life. Then, you can say to your friends, after all its a small world....we will be meeting again definitely.
